Family Day is here, at least in Alberta. For us, it means spending some uninterrupted time together, doing all the things we love. But not everyone knows what to do during this holiday weekend, especially since it has an extra day.

So here are 10 of the best ways you can spend family time with your favourite people!!

Photos these days are so much more than simply sitting/standing together, posing for the camera while the photographer tells us to say, “Cheese”. In fact, most people these days prefer the non-posed look for their own photos, and finding a photographer who caters to their desires is super important.

During those cold winter months, the perfect place to take photos is in an indoor location. And what better spot to do the Luchies family photos than in the old Rolling Hills Fire Hall. 🚒

We’ve had the perfect amount of Fall in our Brooks, AB backyard these days, and so, naturally, it became the perfect place to have the Lord Family’s fall family photos. Between the layer of leaves that covered our grass, to the red tone my lilac bushes took this year, it was an autumn wonderland. 🍂

I have known the Peters Family or some time now, and it’s always so much fun to take their family photos. Especially as I watch their three boys grow up into goofy, fun-loving little men. And oh my goodness, the colours!! We were blessed with such gorgeous fall colours, and even though the sky was overcast, we still were given a beautiful sunset at the Rolling Hills Reservoir in Alberta. 🌅

I feel so incredibly privileged to have been chosen to photograph this family’s photos.
