It was the perfect evening for the Oostlander's Family sunset portraits at the Bassano Dam, in celebration of Landon and Miranda's 10th Anniversary!!
The day before the Oostlander's session, my sister and I had driven back from a week-long visit to our family, in Kelowna, BC. Coming home to a portrait session the day after was exciting, especially considering it was my first portrait session since Lila was born.
They had me meet them out front their home, and drove ahead of me to the Dam so I knew where they wanted to go. When we arrived, we found the most perfect little bluff to start the session at. It overlooked the Dam, and the Bow River, and had the most amazing glow of the setting sun on the horizon. Lexi danced, Luna posed, and Mylo gave us cheeky grins. They tickled and laughed and gave each other leap-hugs in this spot.
Once done there, we went across the main dam to another section. Even with stop signs preventing us from going where the Oostlander's originally had hoped to have photos at, we made use of the rocky shoreline of the reservoir, and the three kiddos enjoyed racing by in the parking area.
By the time the sun set, we had captured so many incredible memories from the Oostlander's session. It was the most fitting way for Landon and Miranda to spend their 10th Anniversary.
